I think this is going to be really easy, as there isn't much visible here

Based on the drawings, it looks like the piston rod is about 1/2 inch = 12.7mm

Just a little pocket, I'm not designing the internals of the damper

Shaft and fillet

Put a hole it in and apply black paint material.

Put into the assembly
